The second branch is where spreadsheets break
One gym can survive on a good manager and a few spreadsheets. Two cannot. Suddenly there are two sets of members (some of whom train at both), two front desks with different habits, two sets of rent and salaries, staff who cover both locations, and an owner driving between them to find out what happened. Questions that were easy become hard: which branch is actually profitable? Is the new branch’s attendance growing? Did the offer run at both?
Multi-branch gym software answers those from one screen.
Branch control in Torzil
| Capability | What it does |
|---|---|
| One login | Every location from a single account |
| Branch switching | Switch branch and all lists, totals and reports adapt |
| Branch-specific settings | Address, member-ID prefix, holidays and week-offs per branch |
| Branch members | Members belong to a branch; IDs carry the branch prefix |
| Branch staff | Staff assigned to branches with role-based permissions |
| Branch expenses | Every expense tagged to a branch |
| Branch reports | Payments, GST, attendance and expenses filtered by branch |
| Branch offers | Offers targeted at specific branches |
| Multi-location members | Members switch locations inside one app |
| Centralised analytics | Compare branches side by side, or see the whole business |
Branch-level P&L
Because revenue is recorded per branch and expenses carry branch tags, each branch has its own net profit for any date range, alongside the consolidated view. That is the number multi-branch owners most need and most software cannot produce. See expenses and financial reports.
Attendance counted correctly
A member who trains at two branches on the same day is one unique member, not two. Torzil counts unique members per day across selected branches, so busy-ness and engagement figures are not inflated - a detail the multi-branch guide explains.
Staff across branches
Staff are assigned to branches, permissions are scoped by role, and payroll is calculated from attendance. A trainer who covers two branches is managed once.
Retail and stock per branch
The POS rings up against one branch at a time, so each branch’s stock and retail revenue stay accurate.
Gym chain management
For gym chains, Torzil provides centralised management with branch-level control: standardised packages and offers, consistent invoicing, branch-specific operations, and centralised analytics that compare locations. If your branches are franchised rather than owned, see gym franchise software.
Branch-aware from the start
Torzil was built for multi-branch operation from the start rather than adding a branch filter later: branch switching across every screen, branch-specific settings and member IDs, branch staff, branch expenses and P&L, unique-member attendance, multi-location member apps and centralised analytics.
