The supplement counter is usually the least controlled part of a gym
Most gyms sell something besides memberships - protein, pre-workout, energy drinks, water, shakers, gloves, T-shirts. It is useful margin, and it is usually run on a cash box and memory. Stock goes missing, nobody knows the real margin, sales are not invoiced, and the money never makes it into the business’s reports. A gym POS brings the counter inside the same system as everything else.
What Torzil’s POS does
| Capability | Detail |
|---|---|
| Counter sales | Supplements, drinks, merchandise and any retail item |
| Barcode scanning | Scan to add items, faster and fewer errors |
| Invoicing | Each sale invoiced through Torzil billing, with tax |
| Stock deduction | Inventory reduces automatically with each sale |
| Branch-level sales | Each sale rings up against one branch, keeping branch stock and revenue accurate |
| Staff App POS | Sell from a phone on the gym floor |
| Reporting | Sales appear in payment reports and revenue analytics |
Behind the counter: stock and purchasing
The POS is the front of Torzil’s Store module. Behind it, inventory management handles stock counts, low-stock alerts and vendor purchase orders, so you reorder before the best-selling protein runs out rather than after.
What the POS changes for an owner
- Retail revenue becomes visible next to membership revenue in analytics.
- Shrinkage becomes visible when stock counts do not match sales.
- Staff can sell anywhere on the floor through the Staff App.
- Supplement margin can finally be measured rather than guessed.
The gym POS and inventory guide covers pricing, stock-count routines and how to stop shrinkage.
Honest limitation
A POS sale rings up against one branch at a time. That is deliberate - it keeps each branch’s stock and revenue correct - but if you want a single basket to pull stock from two branches, that is not how Torzil’s POS works.
Retail that is invoiced, taxed and stock-controlled
A POS with barcode scanning, stock deduction, purchasing and branch-level reporting is not standard in gym software. Torzil includes it in the platform, so retail is invoiced, taxed, reported and stock-controlled in the same system as memberships.
